A Closer Look at Our 2025 Safety Stats and What We're Doing to Improve

As we kick off the year, we wanted to take a moment to share where we stand on safety and talk about an incident that happened recently, what we’ve learned from it, and how we’re continuing to improve.

Incidents So Far in 2025

Here’s a quick snapshot of the incidents we've had Year-to-Date (YTD):

  • Near Misses: 3

  • First Aid Injuries: 2

  • Recordable Injuries: 1

  • Lost Time Injuries: 0

While these numbers are low, we take every incident seriously and are committed to learning from each one to make sure we’re doing everything we can to keep everyone safe.

Our First OSHA Recordable of 2025

On January 9, 2025, we experienced our first OSHA Recordable injury of the year. Here’s what happened:

One of our team members was working at the expanding table, setting up a coil. In the process, they climbed the side rail and jumped into the table space, landing on a ratchet strap used to secure the coils. Unfortunately, this caused them to twist their ankle and fall to the ground.

Thankfully, our First Responder was on site immediately and assessed the injury. The team member initially thought it was just a sprain, but after a few days, the pain persisted. They were taken to the clinic, where it was determined that they needed work restrictions. This turned the injury into an OSHA Recordable, as the restrictions impacted their ability to work normally.

What We’re Doing to Prevent Future Incidents

Safety is always our top priority, and we’re not just focusing on this one incident but also looking at the bigger picture. A full root cause analysis will be conducted with the injured team member, their leadership, Safety, and Engineering. We’ll dig into the details of what happened, identify what went wrong, and figure out what changes we can make to prevent something like this from happening again.

We’re committed to improving our safety practices and will continue to evaluate our processes to ensure we're doing everything possible to avoid injuries and keep everyone safe at work.

Thanks for taking the time to read this update. Let’s keep up the great work in making safety a priority every day!
